Primary education is the fundamental right of every Indian.  VALORED  as a concept emerged in 1993 to ensure that this education is given in a meaningful, relevant and effective way to all children in the villages.

VALORED’s aim was to see that rural education be child centered in its methodology, in planning and in implementation, that subjects taught be value oriented.  As the activities of VALORED became widespread in various villages PADI came into existence in 2004 to co-ordinate document, monitor, review and evaluate the educational work intervention activities to ensure greater efficiency and increased accountability towards the same.

PADI at the local level literally means equality, a measure, method or way, likeness or similarity.  Hence it was felt that this term was very appropriate as a title for our Society that works for equal rights for all children in connection with Education.  PADI has no colour, cast creed, gender, religion or class bar.  All Children are Just Equal
